Triple Test, No Rest: Titans Take Two of Three in Montreal
The KW Titans wrapped up a demanding three-game road series in Montreal with a strong showing, securing two wins in three matchups against the Montreal Toundra.
The weekend tipped off on Friday after a six-hour bus ride to the Pierre-Charbonneau Centre, where the Titans faced a fired-up Montreal crowd for the Toundra home opener. Matching the energy early, the Titans battled their way to a 111–107 win.
James Towns led the charge with 23 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two key steals, while Tarkus Ferguson provided a huge spark off the bench, finishing with 19 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.

Saturday’s game saw a determined Montreal squad pushing hard for their first home win of the season. Despite solid efforts from the Titans, the Toundra edged out a 110–103 victory. “They tried to make their runs, but it was late, so they were trading baskets back and forth,” said Head Coach Jaymo.
A 10-point run by Montreal in the third quarter shifted momentum, though CJ Felder stood out with double-digit rebounds, Antoine Mason poured in 28 points, and Jaylen Bland added 21 points.

Sunday proved to be a turning point. With the goal of winning at least two games in the series, the Titans responded with focus and discipline, closing out the weekend with a 100-90 victory. Ty Groce earned Player of the Game honours after recording 24 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Ferguson continued his strong weekend with 19 points, while Nathan Charles delivered key minutes off the bench, posting 10 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

“He had a number of steals that really built momentum,” Coach Jaymo added. “His scrambles for the ball were pretty wild.”
The Titans now shift their focus to the rest of the Basketball Super League season and return home to The Aud. Fans can catch the team’s next home game on January 17 at 4:00 p.m. at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium – another exciting matchup you won’t want to miss.
