The KW Titans are welcoming back Nigel Tyghter to the team for 2020. The 6’9′ veteran from Brampton, Ontario will suit up for KW for the third consecutive year this season. Tyghter played a key role for the Titans last season in their deep playoffs run, defending some opposing teams’ most physical big men while chipping in on the offensive end along the way. The 33-year-old will bring some much-needed leadership to the Titans’ locker room this season as he will surely play a large mentoring role for the new younger additions to the roster.
“I’m grateful to be back playing for the Titans for another season. I’m prepared to do whatever it takes to help the team succeed,” Tyghter said. “I cant’ wait to get back on the court.”
Head coach Cavell Johnson, who played alongside Tyghter in 2017-2018 season was happy to be bringing back his former teammate for the Titans 2019-2020 campaign.
“Nigel was a solid presence for us at some crucial points in out season last year,” said Johnson. “It’s great to have him back with us to continue to build in his role as an enforcer and ‘whatever it takes’ teammate”.
