Walker Won’t be Walking into Training Camp

The KW Titans’ home opener is 45 days away, tickets now available for purchase, and the roster is shaping up to be one you don’t want to miss on the floor.

Ty Walker, a graduate of Wake Forest University, comes to the Titans with G-League and Overseas Professional Experience.

Ty is a 7′ Centre, and the first front court addition to be announced. Ty’s athleticism makes him one to watch to lead the league in blocks, and showcasing high-flying dunks.

Walker is ready to be back on North American soil.

“I chose to sign with the Titans because they believe in what I stand for, and what I can bring to the team on and off the court. They are going above and beyond to help us prepare for life off the court. Having been playing pro for a few years now, I know I need to plan for life off the court, and they are bringing that development piece in for us.

I’m looking forward to being around a great group of guys for the year, and I’m looking forward to doing my part to get KW a championship. Having the personal relationship with Neal is going to make this endeavor even more enjoyable. Training Camp can’t come soon enough. It means so much for us to get back to playing basketball and bringing the community together again.

Born in Columbus Ohio, Walker competed for the NCAA Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Although he went undrafted by the NBA, he’s done stints in the G-league with the Maine Redclaws, Erie BayHawks, Reno Bighorns, Iowa Energy & Stockton kings. He has just returned from a season in Slovakia.

“Ty’s commitment to join us will show the fans we are serious about going after the championship. Ty seriously can touch the top of the backboard. He’s going to be a highflying shot blocker for sure, but he’s more than that, and is an offensive threat as well. Fans are in for a treat to watch this man dunk. He’s a vet that’s been around the G-league and he has a lot to offer that our young guys will learn from.” – Mel Kobe – VP Basketball Operations & General Manager.
