Jr. NBA with the KW Titans is an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of basketball from those who know it best. From ball-handling basics to shooting and strategy, players develop good habits training with pro players and coaches.
Fall sessions are coached by KW Titans Shooting Guard Joel Kindred.

- 12 Hours of Training: 6 x 2-hour weekly sessions focused on skill development

- 4 KW Titans flex vouchers ($118 value) for the 2025-2026 regular season

Meet the Skills Academy Coaches

Cliff Clinkscales
KW Titans Head Coach
Coach Cliff, aka “The General” has been Head Coach of the KW Titans since 2022. The illustrious former point guard played for the Halifax Rainmen (2014-15) and Halifax Hurricanes (2015-20). He is the National Basketball League of Canada’s all-time assist leader with 1,660 and remains one of the NBLC’s top ten players of all time. Coach Cliff played NCAA Division 1 basketball for the DePaul Blue Demons and was selected by the Erie (PA) Bayhawks in the 2008 NBA Development League draft.

James Robinson
KW Titans Lead Assistant Coach
A sought-after skills coach for athletes of all ages, Coach James excels at breaking down the skills development process and making it relatable. Coach James has been the KW Titans Lead Assistant Coach since 2022. He is a former Lead Assistant Coach for the US-based Lansing Pharaohs of the TBL (The Basketball League) and an ISSA-certified Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Shane Nicely
International Pro,
South America, Europe & Asia
Shane Nicely is the true definition of a baller, having played professional basketball on a global level from South America to Europe. This 6'6 power forward has worked out for the Toronto Raptors and was invited to play for the Orlando Magic Summer League. He's also an assistant coach for Waterloo Warriors men's basketball at the University of Waterloo. Shane was featured in a Nike shoe commercial and caught the acting bug. Now he is a regular fixture in the Canadian acting scene.

Dani Elgadi
Saskatchewan Rattlers (CEBL), pro leagues in Germany, Portugal & Spain
As a top local recruit playing out of Waterloo Collegiate (WCI), Dani was awarded a scholarship to Brock University and played as captain of the Brock Badgers from 2013-18. he went on to play professionally in Germany for SC RASTAA Vechta, in Portugal for Esgueira/Olo, in Spain for Sagrado Corazon, and represented Sudan at the summer 2021 Konya Olympic Games, 3x3 Basketball held in Konya, Turkey. He also played in the CEBL for the Saskatchewan Rattlers.


Joel Kindred
KW Titans
Joel Kindred is a 6'4" shooting guard and a dominant scorer who has taken home several league honours while playing for the Titans, including the National Basketball League (NBLC) Most Valuable Player and Most Improved Player in 2022. A graduate of Saint Augustine University in his hometown of Raleigh, NC, Joel's pro basketball career has included Canadian seasons with the KW Titans and London Lightning, as well as international contracts in Iraq, Rwanda and Columbia.

Shequell Gilgeous-Glasgow
London Lightning
Kitchener local Shequell Gilgeous-Glasgow was a leading scorer for the Conestoga Condors in College and signed with the London Lightning (formerly of the National Basketball League of Canada) in 2022-2023. Sheq’s famous NBA basketball family includes cousins Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Tramar Sutherland
KW Titans
Tramar Sutherland played Division 1 basketball at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, was Sun Belt Conference Champion, and played in the March Madness tournament. Tramar played 8 years of pro basketball with the National Basketball League of Canada (NBLC) on 3 different teams, including the Moncton Magic, Niagara River Lions and the KW Titans. He was a 2-time member of the All-Canadian Team, a member of the First All NBLC Team with the KW Titans, and also played FIBA 3x3 pro basketball for team Toronto in France, Mongolia & Macau.
