Prepared to win, Titans fall in last seconds to Express
This past weekend’s game against the Windsor Express came down to discipline, details and turnovers that saw the team lose a 10pt lead in the first quarter, come back from being down 10 in the second, to the Express getting a last second opportunity at the foul line to win by 1pt.

The Pink Shirt game on February 22 in support of anti-bullying had the Titans coming in well prepared to win. Ty Pickett came back to start after being out the last two games with an injury, coming through with 22pts and 12 rebounds for the team. Reflecting back after the game, Pickett shared that there were mistakes made throughout the game and collectively the team needs to pay more attention to the details throughout the plays.

That sentiment was echoed by Ty Groce, who contributed 20pts and 11 rebounds. “It was back and forth with two highly competitive teams, and it will always be a dog fight. They made some better decisions than we did.”
Coach Cliff reaffirmed that the team needs to play how they practice, and keep the turnovers down, focusing on the details and staying disciplined to the fundamentals of the game.
The Titans are preparing to hit the road for two away games, heading to Sudbury to battle against the Five on February 28, followed by a return to face Windsor on March 4. The entire team is confident that they have the ability to bring home the wins. The key is to stay focused on the basics, and continue setting up each other for the plays, just like they do in practice.
