Titans Team Up With Food4Kids Waterloo Region

The KW Titans continue to prove that their biggest plays often happen off the court. On Tuesday, February 10th, Titans players Davin Miller and Zakeem Davis visited Food4Kids Waterloo Region, an organization dedicated to supporting the one in ten local households facing food insecurity.

Food4Kids focuses specifically on children aged 1-14, ensuring that those in food-insecure homes have access to healthy nourishment during weekdays, weekends and school breaks when school-led nutrition programs aren’t available.

The Titans didn’t just stop by for a visit, they got to work. Alongside dedicated Titans volunteers Jennie and Grace, and community members Nina and Aslinn, Davin and Zakeem spent the afternoon sorting and bagging fresh carrots at the Food4Kids facility.

The impact of this collective effort is massive: 1,450 children across Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Wilmot, and Woolwich will now receive these nutritious packages. For these youth, the support means more than just a meal; it leads to better focus at school, improved physical development, and a boost in overall mood and mental health.

“At the end of the day, it’s about more than basketball, it’s about the Waterloo Region,” the boys shared following the visit. “We are committed to uplifting our community through hands on engagement and lasting partnerships”.
